Chick Stages

Thought it would be fun to post a few comparison photos of the peeps. Not only are they all very different but they are spread out in age too. So here goes for comparing.
Here are the Buff Orpington peeps at 3 weeks and 4 days. Their bodies have feathers with not a whole lot of the peep fluff left. The fluff is on their heads, necks and under their wings. Their combs are starting to get bigger also. They are a little bigger then a soft ball at this point.
This picture shows the Light Brahma peeps. They are 1 week and 4 days old. Still covered in fluff except for their wings and a few feathers coming in on their tails. They are about as big as a tennis ball.
Here are the newest members to our little flock. I couldn't catch them all on camera. These are the 3 day old Welsummer and Black Australorp peeps. It seems that the Welsummers are developing a little quicker then the Black Australorp peeps even though they are the same age. The Welsummers have little feathers on their wings where the Black Australorps have none. The Black Australorps are still covered completely in fluff.

    1. Yes they are! That cuteness makes it hard to not keep picking more up when going to the feed store.
